Executive Director’s Notes- August 2011

 

Greetings from the Filipino- American Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles!

It’s hard to believe that more than half of 2011 is already over! It’s going to be a BUSY and exciting remainder of the year for our Chamber. In addition to our planned August Mixer, in mid- September we are planning a special Mixer in Panorama City, to be held at the Island Pacific Plaza- more details to follow soon.

 

Members of our Chamber are going to Portland, Oregon attend the Federation of Philippine American Chambers of Commerce (FPACC) Convention and Trade show. More details below*...

 

On Thursday August 25th, please come and join the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, LA and FilamArts as we present FPAC 20, the 20th Anniversary celebration of the Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture, and our Buy Pinoy program! Network, promote your business, product, service or event! The Press Conference will be at our Chamber office and Boardroom in Sherman Oaks. Light refreshments will be served. Street parking available. Must RSVP by 08-23-11.

On September 10 and 11 we will be at Point Fermin, San Pedro CA for FPAC 20, the 20th Anniversary of the Festival of Philippine Arts & Culture. More than 20,000 people attend the Festival each year, so if you are looking to promote your business, service, product or event, this is an opportunity you should not miss! Already, plans are being implemented to hold our Business Expo in the City of Carson on October 15th, 2011. We will be in the Carson mall, and this is another event serious businesspeople should attend! We will have booths, entertainment, food, and networking of course... again, more to follow!

 

On November 18th we will be putting on a CONCERT! “Halo HaloDay!” is coming your way! Be prepared to be entertained on this magical night! This is a fundraiser for our Entrepreneurial programs, and we hope you come out and support this wonderful and worthwhile project!
