The FACC- LA presents "Asian Pacific American Community Mixer!" Thursday, May 26th 2011

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in Los Angeles! The Filipino- American Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles is proud to join the City of LA in this month- long celebration!

LA is home to people originating from all around the world. In May we celebrate our rich Asian and Pacific Islander cultures and the work of APA leaders and organizations who keep Asian and Pacific Islander American traditions alive and vibrant in our communities.

This event is being held to help connect the various Asian Pacific American communities in the San Fernando Valley and beyond, and to celebrate traditions from the many cultures in Asia and the Pacific Islands.. and thus, honor Asian Pacific Americans who have inspired progress and unselfishly contributed to the betterment of our diverse Los Angeles community.

Cleansing Ceremony- Ka Virgil Mayor Apostol

Musical Guest- Ninette Christine Tenza

Vocalists: Vangie Crowther, Josephine Arciaga

Polynesian Dance: Aloha Hula Studio Granada Hills

Presentation by Mr. Noel Omega on Asian Americans in the SFV Valley
